Description

With Tenerife Sky at Night  you will gaze at the stars  in an exclusive location away from the crowded areas, from the comfort of your mountain-top restaurant.

On our way up to the Teide National Park we will make a short stop in the charming village of Vilaflor, considered the highest village in the Canary Islands.

We will cross the Canary pine forest until we reach Las Cañadas del Teide, where we will make some stops at different viewpoints and at Los Roques de García to admire its incredible landscapes.

We will continue the route enjoying the views until we reach our destination: the 7 Cañadas restaurant, where you will enjoy a delicious dinner in a specially themed area.

Afterwards, we will toast with a glass of cava while contemplating a spectacular sunset from one of the National Park's viewpoints.

Once the sun goes down, a Starlight guide with more than 20 years of experience will reveal all the curiosities of the night sky of the Canary Islands: one of the best in the world for observing the firmament. With the help of the latest generation of professional telescopes, we will go even deeper into our knowledge of the universe. This space offers the perfect conditions for this activity due to its low light and noise pollution, and at the same time you will be close to all the comforts of the restaurant.

After the astronomical observation, we will start our way back to the coast.

Recommendations: Warm clothing and suitable footwear. Teide National Park is at 2100 metres and can be quite chilly, even in the summer months.

Please specify any intolerances, allergies or dietary preferences, such as vegetarian/vegan menu, when booking.

Characteristics:

  • The stargazing will takes place just behind the restaurant, offering the perfect conditions because a high wall means that it is very dark and quiet. Being close to the restaurant, you can take a break from the nippy air and use the facilities.
  • Our state-of-the-art telescopes are located on an upper terrace of the restaurant with all the comfort of its facilities at hand.
  • The activity is carried out solely and exclusively by official guides with Starlight Guide certification –  a team with more than 20 years’ experience who will reveal for you the exciting world of the stars.
  • Although more and more people visit Teide National Park at night, the unique opportunity offered by Tenerife Sky at Night is that we will be in an exclusive place, away from the most crowded areas, and without the disturbance of lights and noise.
