Enjoy an enchanting sunset and watch the stars shine like nowhere else.

Feel the thrill of watching the breathtaking sunset from the highest peak in Spain. The Teide cable car will take you to an altitude of 3,555m to enjoy the spectacle of Teide's shadow on the horizon.

After sunset, you can enjoy a picnic dinner at the Cable Car Base Station.

The sky of the Teide National Park is one of the best on the planet for stargazing. After dinner, located in the car park at the base station of the cable car, our Starlight guides will show you the fascinating world of the night sky with the help of their long-range telescopes.

Duration: 8 hours approximately.
Included: Guided tour in Spanish and English.

Note: Pick up will be at the closest meeting point to your hotel. (No pick-up from Los Gigantes, Puerto Santiago, Callao Salvaje, Playa Paraíso, El Médano, Golf del Sur and Costa del Silencio.)


Restrictions:

  • People with heart problems, pregnant women, and children under 3 are not allowed to ascend by cable car due to the risk that high altitude poses to their health. If you have any health problems, consult your doctor before planning your visit or booking your Mount Teide Cable Car tickets.
  • In accordance with current regulations, persons with any physical disability or motor impairment are not permitted to make the ascent by cable car, because of the potential risks if the vehicle has to be evacuated.
  • It is essential to bear in mind that in the event of the failure of the cable car system due to unexpected technical reasons, passengers already at the upper station will have to make their descent on foot and using steep mountain paths.
  • Children under the age of 8 are not allowed on this excursion.
  • People with health problems should consult their doctor before going on this excursion to Teide at night.
  • The cable car facilities are not suitable for people with physical disabilities.

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS:

  • In the event that weather conditions impede the operation of the cable car for the activity Sunset & Stars, the sunset shall be enjoyed either from the Chío viewpoint or from Los Roques de García, and the price of the cable car return ticket shall be reimbursed to non-residents at the following rates: Adults €50.00; Children €25.00.
  • If weather conditions make astronomical observation impossible, a refund of €35 per adult and €30 per child will be made in the case of non-residents, and €24.50 per adult and €21 per child in the case of residents.
  • Date changes are valid for 1 year provided that the vouchers have not been redeemed. Any change of date or cancellation must be made within a period of no more than 30 days from the date of the initial booking. Up to 3 date changes are permitted.

Prevention measures Covid-19: The recommendations of the Ministry of Health and the Government of the Canary Islands will be applied.

Free Cancellation

Date changes or cancellations can be made free of charge up to 48 hours prior to the activity. After this period, the cancellation carries a charge of 50% of the amount. If the cancellation takes place with less than 24 hours’ notice, 100% of the amount will be charged. Up to 3 date changes are permitted.
